Green Mountain Water Environment Assocation is working to expand our public outreach program. We'd love imput from students on what they would like to see here!

GMWEA Director Steve Button stands with the GMWEA display at Echo Earth Weeks.
At the ECHO Lake Aquarium & Science Center April means "Earth Weeks". Earth Weeks is a two-week celebration showcasing stewardship activities for the earth. This year GMWEA joined in on the celebration of Earth Weeks at ECHO. For six days we enjoyed interacting with folks at the GMWEA table on the main floor. Our involvement included giving out stickers; posters, activity books and pencils. We also "deputized" youngsters who helped analyze water samples. We held a raffle for WWMD kits and were pleased to find many teachers (from Vermont and beyond) entering. Throughout all six days we had the opportunity to proudly talk with people about our organization and it's commitment to the water environment! Thanks to the friendly staff at ECHO and the efforts of some GMWEA members Earth Weeks 08' received two thumbs up!
