Overview: To be held for one day per week for eight weeks, this course is based on the book Wastewater Treatment Fundamentals 1, Liquid Treatment, by the Water Environment Federation.  It is intended to prepare attendees to take the Grade 1 and 2 Domestic Wastewater certification exams.  Attendees will learn the basic concepts of wastewater treatment from collection systems to final disposal of effluents and solids.  Activities will include classroom training by Vermont's top experts as well as field trips.
