George Dow Memorial Golf Tournament
One of GMWEA's most popular activities, the tournament is named in honor of George Dow, a GMWEA officer, mentor, and friend who passed away in December, 2007.
Held in mid-August each year, the event provides a great opportunity to meet other professionals in the field, compare notes, share war stories, and have fun with family and friends. For the last few years, the George Dow Tournament has been held at Cedar Knoll Country Club in Hinesburg, Vt., but the course location my vary from year to year.
Participants compete for a wide variety of prizes, including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize and, new in 2017, the Rickie Fowler Most Flashy Dress prize.
Individual GMWEA members, corporate members, family, and guests can form teams of three or four, or can register as individuals.The $90 registration fee includes golf, cart, beverage cart, lunch, and chances at prizes, including. Attendance is limited to the first 130 people to register; check in starts at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:00am.
